SUNSTATES PROMOTES CHRIS COUCH TO
COCA-COLA ALLIANCE MANAGER
RALEIGH, N.C. – Sunstates Security has promoted Chris Couch to alliance manager responsible for the company’s relationship with Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated (CCBCC).
Couch has conducted training exercises, security audits and educational seminars with CCBCC, an eight-year client of the company. He has been the manager of Sunstates’ Charlotte branch since 2006.
Reporting to Coca-Cola’s director of security, Couch will serve as Sunstates’ single point of contact for Coca-Cola facilities located in Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
“Chris will ensure that Coca-Cola’s global security directives are well executed by everyone at Sunstates,” said Glenn Burrell, president. “It’s a critically important job and Chris has the knowledge, experience and skills needed to carry it out.”
Prior to joining Sunstates, Couch retired as a Sergeant with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department after 26 years of service. He spent 17 of those years working as an undercover detective in the vice squad, investigating crimes such as narcotics, prostitution and organized crime. Fluent in Spanish, Couch supervised the department’s International Relations Unit during his last three years with the force.
Couch holds a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from Gardner-Webb University.
