SUNSTATES WELCOMES Vincent J. Esposito, ESQ.
Regional Manager – Charlotte, North Carolina
A licensed attorney with over thirty years of public safety and private security management experience, Vincent joined Sunstates Security as a Regional Manager in February 2021. In this role, Vincent oversees a team of six Operations Managers and a Regional Support Manager and is responsible for a portfolio of clients in the greater Charlotte, NC area.
Vincent began his career with the New York City Police Department as a Police Officer in the 104th precinct, a role that offered him multiple growth opportunities. His commitment and talent were recognized and his role expanded into positions of escalating responsibility to include Sergeant, Lieutenant, Executive Officer, and culminating in his final role as Commanding Officer of the NYPD Transportation Bureau Investigations Unit in Manhattan.
Over the course of his law enforcement career, he gained extensive experience in policy development, criminal investigation strategies, community relations, and anti-terrorism planning. Significantly, he was involved in rescue and recovery missions following the incidents of September 11 and the crash of American Airlines Flight 587 in 2001. During his seven-year tenure in his final role as Commanding Officer, he was responsible for investigating allegations of police misconduct and managed over 300 cases each year.
Following his retirement from law enforcement, Vincent pursued a law degree and started his own firm, utilizing his prior experience to represent NYPD members involved in criminal and administrative cases. In 2018 he returned to a hands-on security role as a Regional Manager for a private security company overseeing a portfolio of armed and unarmed for multiple school districts throughout Long Island. This complex role involved high levels of client engagement, and management of all aspects of account operations, and positioned him well for a transfer to Sunstates Security.
His diverse background, extensive management experience, and proven team mentoring and development skills make him a valuable asset to the Charlotte team.
