As the winter and holiday season approaches, Sunstates Security is proud to contribute to the North Carolina community. This December, our team actively supported the annual “Coats for the Children” drive, a vital partnership between WRAL and The Salvation Army of Wake County that has provided warmth and hope to local families for over 35 years.

A Hands-On Impact

This year, our involvement went beyond financial contribution. During the live telethon, 18 dedicated corporate team members volunteered their time to staff the phone bank for two hours. Our personnel worked tirelessly alongside other community leaders to process donations and share the stories of those in need, ensuring that the drive reached its goals.

2025 Coats for the Children Drive

The need across North Carolina for winter gear remains immense, and Sunstates is honored to contribute to the direct relief of local children. During the event, Sunstates Security presented a $5,000 corporate donation to The Salvation Army. This contribution is specifically earmarked to help purchase new coats and essential winter gear for children in the state who might otherwise go without.

Rooted in Raleigh

Since 1998, Raleigh has been the home of Sunstates Security. As we have grown into a national leader and a 2026 Forbes Dream Employer, our dedication to our home state has only strengthened. We understand that a safe environment starts with a supported community.

How You Can Help

The 2025 drive is still accepting support. You can make a difference by:

  • Donating Coats: New or gently used coats are accepted at participating Jiffy Lube locations throughout the Triangle and surrounding areas.
  • Online Contributions: Visit The Salvation Army’s secure website to make a direct monetary donation.
  • Checks: Mail checks payable to “The Salvation Army” to: TSAWC Coats for the Children, P.O. Box 19641, Raleigh, NC 27610.

We thank WRAL, the Salvation Army, and our incredible team members for making the 2025 drive a resounding success. Together, we are ensuring a warmer, safer winter for our neighbors.
