Recognizing and Honoring our Valued Veteran Security Team Members
Meet Saul Chavez, Site Supervisor in our Los Angeles region.
Sunstates Security is proud to recognize Saul Chavez, a Site Supervisor in our Los Angeles region who continues to serve his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army while building his career with Sunstates. At just 24, Saul has already demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, service, and personal growth. Whether supporting his fellow soldiers or leading his security team, Saul approaches each responsibility with the mindset: “Mission comes first.”
MILITARY EXPERIENCE

Originally from Wildomar, California, Saul joined the United States Army at 22. He began his military journey at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and spent his first seven months serving as a Chaplain Assistant, known in the Army as a 56M. In this role, Saul provides armed personal security for the Chaplain, an important responsibility because Chaplains serve as non-combatants. Now three years into his six-year commitment, Saul recently reached an important milestone in his military career with his promotion to Sergeant (E-5).
Although Saul has not deployed, his service has already taken him beyond the United States. In 2023, he completed orders overseas, an experience that gave him the opportunity to explore a new part of the world and experience a different culture firsthand. Those opportunities remain among some of his favorite memories from his time in the Army.
For Saul, military service has helped reinforce the importance of responsibility, leadership, and putting the mission first. As he completes the remaining years of his commitment, he carries those lessons into his civilian career and his role as a leader at Sunstates.
SERVICE & SUNSTATES
As a Site Supervisor, Saul has found a career that lets him keep developing professionally while meeting the responsibilities of active military service. One of the things he appreciates most about Sunstates is the flexibility and support he has received from those around him. He described Sunstates as a positive environment filled with great people and one he genuinely enjoys being part of. He also gave special recognition to Operations Manager Angelina Elias for the support she has provided.
Saul also sees security as much more than a job. He believes the profession can open doors, provide valuable experience, and serve as a stepping stone toward a long-term career. His own experience with Sunstates has shown him that employees have opportunities to grow and that the company is willing to invest in people who want to advance. For those looking to build a future in the industry, Saul believes Sunstates provides an environment where employees can develop their skills, take on greater responsibility, and position themselves for continued success.
When asked what advice he would give someone considering a career in security, Saul brought the conversation back to people. His message was simple: “If you genuinely care about people and want the opportunity to serve others, Sunstates is where you should be.”
Outside of his military and Sunstates responsibilities, Saul’s greatest priority is his family. When he isn’t working or serving, he enjoys spending every second he can with his wife and one-year-old daughter.
Saul continues to build two careers centered on service and leadership while remaining devoted to the family that motivates him. His journey demonstrates how military service and a career with Sunstates can work together to create opportunities for growth, responsibility, and leadership. We are proud to recognize Sergeant Saul Chavez for his continued service to our country and for the leadership and commitment he brings to Sunstates.
