Sunstates Welcomes David Rosser

as National Account Manager

 

Sunstates Security is pleased to welcome Dave Rosser to our team, based in Charlotte, NC, serving as a National Account Manager.  Dave joins us with a 24+ year background as a U.S. Secret Service Special Agent and a wide variety of national and international experience. He began his career in the Washington Field Office investigating threats and financial crimes, performing various executive protection details, and serving a year as a representative on the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). After five years in his initial post, Dave was selected to join the Presidential Protective Division.  In this role, he conducted numerous Lead, Site and Motorcade advances for the President, drove in Presidential motorcades, and served as Assistant Detail Leader on the National Security Advisor’s Detail.

 

Dave’s Background

In 2006 Dave was transferred to the Charlotte Field Office, where he served as Squad Leader for both the Financial Crimes and Protection/Protective Intelligence Squads. He excelled in his position and was recognized by the Queen City Optimist Club in 2008 as the Federal Agent of the Year. Additionally, he acted as the Co-Chairman of the Venues Sub-Committee and Lead Site Agent for the 2012 Democratic National Convention (DNC) hosted in Charlotte.  Based upon his knowledge and experience from the DNC, he was promoted to Deputy Republican National Convention (RNC) Coordinator in 2019.  The RNC Deputy is a complex position consisting of managing twenty-three subcommittees made up of over eighty local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and U.S. military and municipal personnel.

In Dave’s most recent assignment before joining Sunstates, he served as Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Special Projects, a role in which he supervised various short-and long-term special projects, collected data, and presented briefings to the Director and his staff.  His strong management skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and logistical coordination abilities will serve him well in his current role with Sunstates Security. As a National Account Manager, he will oversee a national client with facilities spanning several regions of the country.

 

Education

Dave holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Lynchburg College and an MBA from the University of Richmond.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, as well as hiking and backpacking. In addition, he is active in supporting his community through church volunteer work and fostering rescue animals with his family’s help.
