Sunstates Security Promotes Three Team Members to Executive Roles

 

Company’s Impressive Organic Growth Aids Distinguished Team Leader’s Advancements

 

Sunstates Security’s commitment to its Mission and Vision of Honesty, Integrity and Trust continue to drive the company’s 50% annual organic growth. As a result, Sunstates is pleased to announce the promotions of key, prominent personnel.

 

Roberta Scoblick, Sunstates SecurityRoberta J. Scoblick- Vice President, Business Development & Marketing

A tenured security professional with 35+ years of industry experience, Roberta joined the Sunstates team in 2014. Initially hired as a Business Development Manager, her talents were quickly recognized, and she was promoted to Business Development and Marketing Director within her first two years of service. Today she manages a marketing team dedicated to driving company growth while continuing to pursue business development and work directly with a portfolio of clients.

Roberta began her security career as a file clerk while working through college, earning a marketing degree from William Paterson University in New Jersey. Following graduation, she took a marketing position with one of the nation’s largest security organizations which launched a life-long security career. Through numerous mergers and acquisitions of security companies, Roberta has worked for international security service providers as well as family-owned regional providers. She values the privately-owned company’s values to think outside the box and cater to the customer.

 

Kalvin Spells Regional DirectorKalvin Spells- Vice President, Regional Operations

A seasoned security professional with over 30 years of experience in the service industry, Kalvin joined Sunstates Security as the Houston Regional Manager in 2016. He was promoted to Regional Director in 2017, a role in which he oversaw a portfolio of clients and operational assets across the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. In January 2021, he was promoted to Senior Regional Director with further responsibility for the states of CA, KS, NE, SD, and UT.

Kalvin began his career in the security industry as a Project Manager at a single location and continued to advance through the management ranks in various roles, including Operations Manager, Branch Manager and National Training and Communication Manager. In addition to effectively managing people, schedules and budgets, Kalvin is highly proficient in creating and implementing specialized training programs geared towards increased job efficiency. He has a strong focus on achieving business success through a combination of providing high levels of customer service and enhancing employee team building and morale within the organization.

 

Ryan Moran- Vice President, Quality AssuranceRyan Moran- Vice President, Quality Assurance

A member of the Sunstates Security team for over 11 years, Ryan Moran has over 21 years of industry experience and expertise in creating solid operational programs. Initially joining the company as a Regional Manager, he was promoted to Director of Quality Assurance in 2018, a role in which he focused on supporting the company’s quality assurance and process development initiatives companywide. Ryan spends time traveling to all regions of the company to meet with Sunstates team members and clients, with the goal of exceeding customer expectations and developing programs to ensure employees have a positive working environment with ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Ryan has served in a variety of roles within the contract security industry, starting as a security officer and moving through the ranks to become a Regional Manager and, ultimately, his current position. Related career security experience includes vertical markets including corporate offices and campuses, financial services, pharmaceutical, healthcare, retail, government, commercial real estate and industrial settings.
