“We are immensely proud to receive Forbes recognition for the second year running. A firm’s culture is many years in the making, and it is particularly rewarding when that culture is recognized,” says Sunstates CEO Kathryn Burrell.  “Sunstates Security will continue doing things the right way by supporting and rewarding our employees, our greatest asset.”

While 2021 had its hiring challenges—which remain today, especially in an industry known for low wages and high turnover—Sunstates continued to flourish by offering superior compensation, outstanding benefits and a clearly defined career path. The company looks forward to growing its team as it enters new regions and expands in already established markets.

“Honesty, Integrity & Trust are the pillars of our organization and a commitment to our people, clients and partners,” says Chief Operating Officer Denis Kelly.  “These pillars form the basis of our culture and the Sunstates personnel for which we are extremely thankful for each and every day.”

Forbes annually partners with market research firm Statista to assess companies based on reported employee experience.  Statista surveyed 60,000 Americans working for companies with at least 1,000 employees.  The employees have not been consulted via their employers but anonymously through several online panels.  By doing so, the employee could openly state their opinion, avoiding any influence from their employer.  Surveys asked participants their willingness to refer their employer or if there were a different employer they would recommend.  Furthermore, the employees were asked questions about work-related topics such as working conditions, salary, the potential for development, and company image regarding their current employer.
